I'm Ronan O'Brien — technical bridge between engineering and the C-suite.
I help 50-100 person firms leverage infrastructure, security, and delivery
patterns that large enterprises use, without the overhead of big-firm consulting.
With a BA (Mod) Business & Economics from Trinity College Dublin and 8+ years
in DevOps and SRE, I translate technical risk, opportunity, and trade-offs into
boardroom-ready language. My value is teaching SMBs to make confident infrastructure
decisions that align with business outcomes.
I'm Ronan. I translate enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure into
tools small teams can actually use. If you're a startup or SMB
already paying for Azure or AWS and not getting the value—or you're
growing fast and need platforms that won't break—I can help.
My edge is making the complex practical: taking the IaC, monitoring,
and security patterns that work at scale and adapting them for
10–100 person teams. You get enterprise reliability without
enterprise overhead.
I work across Azure and AWS with a bias for Terraform, GitOps, and
pragmatic observability (Grafana, Datadog, Splunk). I also coach
teams—training juniors, lifting delivery maturity, and keeping
stakeholders aligned when things get technical.
I'm most useful when you need someone who can speak both "boardroom"
and "engineering": translating risk, cost, and delivery trade-offs
into decisions your organisation can act on.
